Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance and administration team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily financial operations, including bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, inventory tracking, and tax filing. This role requires close collaboration with other departments to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and smooth business operations. The ideal candidate should be reliable, well-organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements.
• Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions are paid on time (PAYE, NSSF, WCF, VAT, etc.).
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with TRA requirements.
• Monitor and control company budgets and expenditures.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documents.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
• Analyze financial data and provide reports to management for decision-making.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least two – three years of experience in accounting or finance role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and local tax regulations
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in accounting or finance role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or Sage) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
