Asset Finance Manager

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit an Asset Finance Manager. This role is responsible for structuring, managing, and optimizing asset-based financing solutions to support vehicle acquisition, fleet financing, and dealership operations, while ensuring profitability, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement asset financing strategies aligned with the company’s automotive sales and fleet growth objectives.
- Structure financing solutions for vehicle purchases, leasing, hire purchase, and fleet management.
- Establish and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and leasing partners.
- Analyze credit risk and conduct due diligence on clients, dealers, and fleet customers.
- Review and approve financing applications in line with internal policies and risk appetite.
- Monitor loan portfolios to ensure performance, repayment compliance, and minimal default rates.
- Design and implement credit control and debt recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with sales and dealership teams to drive financing uptake and improve customer conversion rates.
- Provide financial advisory support to clients on optimal financing structures.
- Prepare financial models, forecasts, and asset valuation reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and financial reporting standards.
- Track market trends in automotive financing, interest rates, and competitor offerings.
- Develop pricing models for financing products to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Oversee asset registration, insurance, and collateral management processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and legal compliance for all financed assets.
- Lead audits related to asset finance and address any compliance gaps.
- Supervise and mentor the asset finance team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Coordinate with legal teams on contracts, repossessions, and dispute resolution where necessary.
- Prepare periodic management reports on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and revenue generation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in asset financing, banking, leasing, or automotive finance.
- Proven experience in credit analysis, risk management, and portfolio management.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements within the financial services sector.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
