Project Overview

The purpose of the NextGen Ugavi Bora, Afya Bora activity is to strengthen Tanzania’s public health supply chain and pharmaceutical services to ensure sustainable access to and appropriate use of safe, effective, quality-assured, affordable health commodities. NextGen Ugavi Bora, Afya Bora activity must work to develop the capacity of local systems, institutions, and individuals to sustainably manage supply chains, for both donor-procured health commodities and those procured through national/local systems, and to strengthen local pharmaceutical management systems, including quality pharmaceutical services and national regulatory systems.

Job Summary

The staff will provide technical support to NASHCOP in ensuring continuous availability and efficient management of HIV/AIDS commodities and related supply chain systems, while also contributing to workforce capacity building, demand planning and supply chain system strengthening as per the NextGen UBAB Project goal and objectives. This position will be seconded to the National AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections and Hepatitis Control Program (NASHCoP) in Dodoma and reports dually to the Co-Program Pharmacist (NASHCoP) and the Supply Chain System Strengthening Lead for Ugavi Bora, Afya Bora.

QUALIFICATIONS

LANGUAGE: Excellent written and verbal English.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Able to travel in-country to support technical activities as required, and able to travel internationally to attend training and/or conferences as needed.

WORK AUTHORIZATION: Applicants for this position must be eligible to work in Tanzania without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
