IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure-including servers, storage, virtualization, operating systems, and scripting-alongside expertise in backup, archiving, monitoring, and automation. Proficiency with cloud computing platforms and services such as AWS, M365, and Google Workspace is also required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure position
• Strong understanding of servers, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, operating systems, scripting, backup and archiving, monitoring and automation
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure
• Manage, upgrade and troubleshoot servers, storage, and virtualization platforms
• Implement and manage backup, restoration and archiving solutions
• Manage and deploy Infrastructure on AWS cloud
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as O365 and google workspace
• Competent on Linux server administration
• Knowledge about containerization and management of them via kubernetes
• Configure and manage monitoring systems
• Automate IT tasks using Terraform, cloud formation, or Ansible
• Use JIRA to track and manage projects
• Work with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure
• Management of Load balancers i.e. software and hardware
• Management of containers and pods using kubernetes orchestration
