MsingiTek is a tablet based program that provides supplementary learning for students in Standards 1, 2, and 3. By putting Imagine Worldwide’s tablets and onebillion’s software in children’s hands, the program provides a dedicated moment of individual learning, enabling students to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills. About You:
You are an experienced leader passionate about scaling impact in education. You excel at managing teams, fostering accountability, and enabling others to perform at their best. You thrive in dynamic environments, using real-time data to inform decisions, guide problem-solving, and drive continuous improvement. You are comfortable working with government officials and engaging stakeholders at various levels - from region to ward to school. You also bring a steady hand to the operational side of the work: staying on top of processes, supporting installations, keeping an eye on regional vendors, and maintaining oversight of stock counts and float stock management to ensure smooth field operations. You are confident in raising difficult issues withImagine Worldwide’s leadership, concisely articulate challenges, and engage in solution-oriented discussions.
Your Goals:
As a MsingiTek Field Manager, at scale, you will lead a team of 5 Field Officers (each overseeing 10 schools) to deliver high-quality implementation across the 50 schools in your portfolio. Working closely with your team in the field, you will provide coaching, reinforce best practices, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure consistent execution of the model. Your overarching goal is that the average learner in your portfolio receives at least 100 minutes of quality learning each week — achieved through strong field support, functional equipment, and reliable, well-facilitated sessions Success will be measured by time on task (both weekly and cumulatively), equipment functionality, data accuracy, and strength of school and government ownership across all 50 schools you oversee.
Your Responsibilities:
This is a snapshot of your responsibilities - it’s not exhaustive, and we encourage you to take ownership of your role in ways that drive program success.
- Lead and support five Field Officers, ensuring they know how to use the tools and data provided to them to succeed across all of their deliverables.
- Set clear expectations and track progress, using data to provide feedback and drive improvement.
- Visit each Field Officers weekly in the field, troubleshooting challenges (incl. basic software/hardware issues), reinforcing best practices, and mentor for stronger execution.
- Foster a culture of accountability, trust, learning, and problem-solving within the team.
- Ensure high-quality implementation by monitoring time on task, hardware functionality /breakage, stock levels, and school engagement (attendance) across your portfolio of 50 schools.
- Use data to identify risks, trends, address gaps, and drive targeted interventions in collaboration with Imagine Worldwide and government counterparts.
- Represent the MsingiTek in existing government meetings as per the annual calendar, and on a need basis, ensuring alignment with government priorities.
- Maintain strong relationships with education officials and community stakeholders to foster long-term program ownership.
- Plan and manage the district swap process, monitoring Field Officers’ reporting of broken equipment and coordinating efficient swap runs using ISP float stock.
- Oversee float stock at the district ISP warehouse, including accurate monthly stock counts, clear separation of functional vs. broken units, zero shrink, and timely, accurate data management.
- Act as an accountability partner to VETA during cage production, ensuring reliable stock-taking, responsible use of raw materials, and early flagging of delays or quality concerns.
- Project-managed renovations and installations including vendor management—sequencing renovations, cage installations, solar installations, tablet installations, and ensuring the Imagine Worldwide programs and supply chain teams are alerted to bottlenecks.
- Lead and perform tablet installations, ensuring accurate setup and scanning (by Field Officers).
- For upcoming cohorts, conduct school assessments to inform tablet/solar orders and to begin planning renovations for new schools coming online in their districts.
- Participate in weekly check-ins with Imagine Worldwide, sharing data, implementation insights, priorities and most importantly - transparently sharing risks, challenges and present solutions.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Public Administration, Community Development or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in program management of similar size/complexity as MsingiTek.
- 3+ years of experience in rural community engagement.
- 3+ years of team leadership experience, preferably managing remote field-based teams.
- Experience working with government stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience implementing technology-driven programs (preferred).
