Accountant
Job Description
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Contribute to financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Billing & Payments:
- Manage timely and accurate invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
Project Costing, Budgeting & Control:
- Monitor and analyze project costs, assist with budget preparation, and implement effective cost control measures.
Proper Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Ensure all financial transactions are meticulously documented and records are well-maintained.
Audit & Compliance:
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
Inventory Management & Fixed Assets:
- Oversee inventory valuation and tracking, and manage fixed asset records.
Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a construction industry.
- Having administrative skills will be treated as added advantage
- Familiarity with various accounting software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Hands-on experience working with financial processes specific to the construction industry.
- A demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters
