Accountant Job Opportunity in Morogoro, Tanzania

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a qualified Accountant. This role is responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting business operations across transport, logistics, manufacturing, and construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Handle general ledger postings, journal entries, and account balancing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper recording of all transactions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including tax filings and financial regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Assist in audits and provide required financial data and reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Upper Second Class required).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within transport, logistics, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
• Practical experience in Tally accounting software is required.
• Strong experience in account reconciliations.
• Good understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
