Accountant

Our client, a Global Animal Nutrition & Agribusiness company, is looking for a hands-on Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The role will have a strong focus on bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, supplier management, documentation, and filing, while supporting financial and operational processes linked to imports and customs clearance.

This is an opportunity for an organized and proactive accounting professional who can bring structure to existing processes, improve financial systems, and gradually grow into a broader role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.
• Manage supplier accounts, statements, and payment follow-ups.
• Support accounting documentation related to imports and customs clearance.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records, filing, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Track outstanding invoices, payments, and supplier balances.
• Support month-end closing and preparation of basic financial reports.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and up to date.
• Identify gaps in existing accounting processes and introduce simple structures, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Work closely with operations, logistics, and management to ensure financial and operational information is properly captured.
• Support audits and provide required documentation when needed.

Ideal Candidate

• Approximately 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, or progress toward either qualification.
• Strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and invoicing.
• Good understanding of supplier management and accounts payable/receivable.
• Comfortable working with documentation related to customs clearance and import operations.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experience creating or improving accounting processes, filing systems, and controls.
• Comfortable working independently in a hands-on environment.
• Open to candidates from manufacturing, banking, trading, FMCG, or other relevant industries.
• Demonstrated potential and ambition to grow into a broader accounting role with future people-management responsibility.
