To assist the team with the execution and administration of audit assignments, ensuring high standards and timely completion. The ideal candidate will be motivated, committed to client service, and uphold the company’s ethical and professional standards.
Assist in the execution of audit engagements under supervision using the firm’s international audit methodology and participate in pre-audit scoping and preparation.
Support experienced team members in identifying audit risks and evaluating client internal control structures to identify weaknesses and areas for management improvement.
Analyze collected data and maintain detailed records of results.
Complete assigned tasks to a high standard, meeting set reporting and auditing standards.
Maintain respectful and professional interactions with clients and colleagues.
Continuously build knowledge and develop the ability to handle more complex tasks and responsibilities, fostering client retention and growth.
Act as a firm ambassador, building relationships for client retention and promoting the firm to generate new business opportunities.
Assist with the preparation of simpler financial statements and management reports to enhance understanding of various markets and accounting issues.
Provide timely and knowledgeable responses to client audit queries.
Quickly develop an understanding of audit roles and techniques for various entities, including planning, interviewing, documenting, testing, concluding, and reporting.
Excellent Excel, report-writing, communication (verbal and written), and IT skills.
Pro-active in developing technical knowledge and understanding of current accounting and audit regulations.
A team player who can also work independently, with a flexible, proactive approach and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong communication and organizational abilities.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, initiative, lateral thinking, and the ability to solve problems analytically.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to research company documents, budgets, and market trends to gather necessary audit information.
O-Levels - Division 1 or 2, or equivalent.
A-Levels - 3 B’s or above, or equivalent.
Degree (preferably in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics) with First Class or Upper Second (2:1), or equivalent.
Relevant experience is an added advantage.
Willingness and ability to undertake a relevant accounting professional qualification (ACCA/CPA) and apply knowledge to gain experience in the role.
