LOCATION: MOROGORO
HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client in the Logistics Industry, is seeking diligent and detail-oriented Cashiers (3) who will be responsible for managing daily cash transactions, handling client payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team to ensure smooth operational processes.
Receive, record, and process all cash and cheque payments from clients and partners.
Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Reconcile daily cash collections and prepare timely reports for submission to the Finance/Accounts department.
Maintain a safe and organized cash office, ensuring all cash handling procedures comply with company policies.
Assist in preparing deposit slips and ensure timely banking of collected funds.
Update payment records in the system and ensure proper filing of supporting documents.
Handle customer inquiries related to payments and provide professional service.
Support the finance team with basic accounting tasks when required.
Assist in month-end reconciliation activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Report any discrepancies, delays, or irregularities to the supervisor promptly.
Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Cashier, Accounts Assistant, or a similar role—preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and cash management procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is an added advantage.
Excellent numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
