JOB PURPOSE

The Communications Unit of WFP Tanzania aims to enhance public awareness and understanding of WFP’s work in the country to both local and international audiences. It works to improve brand recognition trough both conventional and non-conventional avenues of communication to appeal to as wide an audience as possible.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: 

Masters degree in journalism, Political Science or Mass Communication.  Bachelors degree in the same areas will be considered if the candidate has relevant work experience.

 

ELIGIBILITY: 

  1. Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme (for example, Bachelor’s degree) from a recognised university and have completed at least two years of the programme. Candidates should have attended classes in the past 12 months;b. Be currently enrolled in a graduate programme (for example, Master degree) from a recognised university and have attended classes in the past 12 months; c. Be a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognised university and have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university.
