Position Summary
The Deputy Sales Lead will support sales leadership and oversee market execution to ensure improved sales performance and achievement of business objectives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), supporting daily sales meetings, coordinating team development, coaching sales representatives, and conducting performance reviews. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills, FMCG sales expertise, excellent team management capabilities, and a results-oriented mindset.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive market execution and improve overall sales performance.
- Monitor and improve key sales performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support the coordination and facilitation of daily sales meetings.
- Coordinate sales team development initiatives.
- Coach and mentor sales representatives to improve individual and team performance.
- Conduct regular sales performance reviews.
- Strengthen route execution and ensure effective market coverage.
- Motivate and guide sales teams to achieve sales targets.
- Support the implementation of sales strategies and business objectives.
- Promote operational efficiency and continuous improvement within the sales team.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- Strong sales background, preferably within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- Valid driving licence.
- Proven Guta driving experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and manage sales representatives.
- Strong understanding of sales performance management and market execution.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to consistently deliver against business objectives.
