Applications are invited from eligible citizens of Tanzania aged between 20 to 50 years to be recruited as Driver at the General Secretariat of the Pan African Postal Union Arusha, Tanzania.

Interested candidates are required to comply with the following conditions:

Qualifications required:

• Minimum of Form IV Secondary School Certificate issued by National Examination Council of Tanzania;
• Good knowledge of spoken/written English or French language.
• Valid driving license issued by the United Republic of Tanzania;
• A Minimum of five (5) years driving experience;

• Eligible candidates are required to submit their handwritten applications indicating academic/professional qualifications in addition to confirmation of relevant working experience from previous employer(s) within one month of the publication of this notice to The Secretary General, Pan African Postal Union, P.O. Box 6026, Arusha, United Republic of Tanzania.

The accuracy of the information supplied must be certified by the Ward Chairman or a Tanzanian Citizen not lower than the rank of Principal Administration Officer in a Government Ministry or equivalent Agency or a Legal Officer.

The application must be accompanied by a recent passport-size photograph of the applicant, handwritten application for employment, copy of birth certificate, certified copies of requisite certificates/testimonials, and medical report duly certified by a competent Physician from Government hospital.

Period of engagement

Initially on fixed term employment for one year and subject to good periodic performance evaluation report, the successful candidate may subsequently be further engaged, in line with prevailing staff rules and regulations of the Pan African Postal Union for short term employment.

Remuneration

All-inclusive package totaling Tanzanian Shillings Six million (TZS 6,000,000/=) only per annum.
