Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization that provides emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance based on need, regardless of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation, and is guided by the principles of neutrality and impartiality. These principles apply to all MSF staff.
Perform the tasks of transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its technical and safety conditions, and adhering to the country’s traffic rules and MSF security regulations, to provide a safe, smooth, and efficient service.
MSF has worked intermittently in Tanzania since 1993, supporting the Ministry of Health (MoH) in various areas, including primary and secondary healthcare and epidemic responses (such as cholera, malaria, and HIV/AIDS). MSF’s most recent intervention began in May 2015 in response to a cholera outbreak in Kigoma region, expanding medical and water/sanitation activities across all three refugee camps.
The Liwale project, launched in December 2022, is an integrated initiative that supports MoH in community-based primary and secondary healthcare for mothers and children under 5. MSF currently supports 7 health facilities, including 4 secondary health care facilities (1 district hospital and 3 health centers), and 3 primary health care facilities offering BEmONC and CEmONC services.
Basic spoken English and Kiswahili are essential.
