Embassy of the Republic of Korea: Economic Affairs Specialist (Local Researcher) - Fixed-Term Position

Employment Conditions

Salary

All-inclusive gross monthly salary: USD 1,500

This salary is all-inclusive and constitutes the employee’s entire contractual cash remuneration. The Embassy will not provide any additional benefits such as bonuses, performance incentives, gratuity, severance pay, or allowances for housing, transport, meals, communication, medical, or relocation. This provision does not exclude any payment or contribution legally required under applicable law.

Applicable taxes, statutory social security contributions, and other legally required deductions will be made from the gross monthly salary. Employer’s statutory contributions will not be considered additional salary.

Probation and Contract Terms

The first three months will be a probationary period to assess performance, competence, and suitability. Employment may be terminated during or upon completion of this period according to the contract and applicable laws. Successful completion of probation does not guarantee contract extension or renewal. This is strictly a fixed-term position with no expectation of renewal or conversion to permanent employment.
