Finance Manager

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager. This role is crucial for overseeing the full spectrum of financial management, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening internal controls, and driving financial strategy to support sustainable growth within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, treasury, and cash flow planning.
- Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Develop and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure compliance within a regulated animal health industry.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning aligned with commercial and operational strategies.
- Monitor product-level profitability, cost structures, and gross margin performance across veterinary pharmaceuticals, feed additives, and related products.
- Supervise inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and expiry management to ensure accuracy and minimize losses associated with pharmaceutical products.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance including VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns and maintain proper documentation for tax audits and regulatory inspections.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, financial institutions, and external consultants on financial and compliance matters.
- Strengthen financial reporting systems and ERP utilization to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Analyze working capital performance including receivables turnover, inventory days, and supplier payment cycles.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management to support expansion plans, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and professional development.
- Support external audit processes and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Evaluate financial risks related to supply chain volatility, foreign exchange exposure, and regulatory changes within the pharmaceutical sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years' progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- High proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
