Who are you

• A Tanzanian teacher who is highly-motivated by fine Arts with excellent attention to detail, who loves working with students and can facilitate a holistic learning curriculum.
• You are able to develop, monitor and evaluate lesson plans, schemes of work, lesson notes and examinations.
• You understand the importance of ECA’s (Extra Curricular Activities) and can inspire and mentor students to participate.
• Creative and flexible, full of ideas, with the ability to adapt lessons to suit a variety of learning styles and available materials.
• You are organised and reliable, great in planning engaging lessons, managing classroom materials, and keeping track of student progress effectively.
• Passionate about art and creativity and a believer in the power of art to inspire, teach life skills and build confidence in young children.
• Experienced in working with young learners and you understand how to engage, motivate, and encourage children aged 7–14 through age-appropriate art activities.
• A responsible and hard-working person who enjoys taking on extra duties such as being on duty, leading assembly, guiding projects and being a member of various school committees.
• You strive for academic and moral excellence and encourage students to aim high and achieve.

What we’re looking for

• Minimum Diploma in Education from an accredited College/University in East Africa that focus on Creative Visual Art and Vocational Skills. Candidates who completed form six and studied Fine Arts or Art History will be prioritised.
• Three to four years of experience in teaching with an outstanding performance and documented record of Art works.
• Strong ability to deliver enriched NECTA curriculum content using modern teaching methods and strategies that support competency-based approach to learning and assessments.
• A teacher who is very creative him/herself and inspire the students to develop their creative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English as a medium of instruction.
• A well-rounded, independent and mature individual with a diverse knowledge in Education and one that observes teaching ethics and demonstrates a refreshing approach to teaching
• A teacher who can enrich the fine ART curriculum to cater the need for the school and advancement of Science and Technology
• A teacher with a vibrant, diligent and motivating personality for young students.
• An individual who is able to adapt to our school’s diverse Policies and Procedures (including working over the weekends when required).
• A teacher who is able to design and decorate different venues for school events and under pressure.
