Graduate Geologist (1 Post)

STAMIGOLD Company Limited, a subsidiary of the State Mining Corporation (STAMICO), operates a gold mine in the B tablesiharamulo Forest Reserve, southwest of Mwanza in the Kagera Region. To ensure effective and efficient operations, the company invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies at the Biharamulo Mine Site. The work roster for these positions is 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off. Below are the details of the available positions, including duties, core competencies, minimum qualifications, and application instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in drilling, sampling, and excavation of the ore body, including related data acquisition.
• Assist in assessing and developing satellite deposits.
• Undertake and compile geotechnical and geological mapping of the pit and other areas as directed.
• Collaborate with the Mine and Process Departments to support ore body development and reconciliation.
• Liaise with the Production Geologist and Senior Production Geologist on grade control planning and interpretations.
• Assist in compiling and preparing geology reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Holder of a BSc in Geology or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software or mine software packages.
