Qualification required: Diploma or relevant professional experience.
Minimum experience: Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience (at least 3 on site) in a function involving security and safety supervision in Tanzania in mining, construction or O&G sectors. International environment experience would be a plus.
Accountabilities: To contribute to the successful implementation of the organizational HSE policies through daily analysis, reporting and action follow up.
Responsibilities:
Follow-up of contractors’ and CRCs’ daily report: HSE checks, planning respect, safety and security events/incidents database update and initial analysis
Daily verbal report upon significant events, and weekly written report
Provide HSE induction and update the database
Assess contractors’ performances on sites or in head offices
Monitor national laws and regulations related to security and safety
Participate to emergency response and crisis management.
Promote safety and security behaviour within the Project
Check contractors HSE plan directly or with HSE on site
Manage the accidents/incident database and follow up the actions plan
Check and follow-up the Journey Management Plans
Prepare and facilitate toolbox meeting
Prepare the HSE monthly report
Monitor car and driver fleet in Dar Es Salaam and in the field
Review and validate monthly invoices
Liaise with medical entities contracted by company
Requirements:
Good knowledge of Tanzanian safety and security regulations.
A good knowledge of HSE standards (HSE Management System, Works at risk, permit to work ...) is highly appreciated.
Clean police record and driving license.
Highly available, autonomous and able to travel to remote areas in Tanzania and Uganda.
Sense of responsibility and dependability with good communication and observation skills
