Management and Development for Health (MDH) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization whose primary aim is to contribute to address public health priorities of the people of Tanzania and the world at large. These priorities include: communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; Reproductive, Maternal, New-born and Child health (RMNCH); Nutrition; Non-Communicable Diseases of public health significance; as well as Health System Strengthening. MDH strongly believes in and works in partnership with various local and global institutions, Ministry of Health (MoH); President’s Office Regional Authorities and Local Government (PORALG); donor agencies; academic and non-academic institutions; implementing partners; civil society, community-based and faith-based organizations and others. MDH seeks a qualified individual to fill the position below.
The Human Resource Officer will be reporting to the Regional Project Manager responsible for the provision of comprehensive guidance on all HR matters. She/he will be assisting the HR Manager to perform the functions of the Human Resources department including coordinating recruitment, administering staff benefits and enforcing MDH policies and procedures.
1. Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources Management or related social science.
2. Possession of postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
3. A minimum of four (4) years’ human resource generalist experience preferably from a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent knowledge of current Tanzania Labour Laws.
5. Conversant with payroll process and its related statutory deductions and payments.
6. Demonstrable capability of handling confidential HR information.
7. Must have HR professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
8. Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to multi task.
9. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
10. Must be computer literate - conversant with, Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
