Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MOHCDGEC) through Global Fund Grants is looking for enthusiastic, creative and energetic individuals whom will work under contractual agreement to fill the following vacant positions:

INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY UNIT

Job Title: ICT Officer (Network Administrator) – 2 Positions

Location: Regional Referral Hospitals

Reporting To: Director of Information Communication and Technology Unit Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs network administration & planning for all aspects of ICT-network infrastructure – to include network equipment, servers, and software applications.

Brings in reliable, durable, and cost-effective solutions for all ICT related needs.

Desired skills.

  1. Assess a company or organization’s network and computer system needs.
  2. Install hardware and software. iii. Make upgrades and repairs as needed. iv.     Oversee digital security.
  3. Perform maintenance that all systems are operating. vi. Collect and analyze data to optimize performance. vii.          On board users to network by providing training and other knowledge. viii.         Train users on hardware and software. ix.      Troubleshoot problems with the system.
  4. Oversee local area network and wide area network

 

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in ICT, computer science or related field of study.
  2. ii. Strong understanding of computer network infrastructure.
  3. Ability to implement, administers, and troubleshoots network infrastructure devices.
  4. Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  5. Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  6. Ability to quickly learn technologies and products using documentation and internet resources.
  7. Ability to work with all levels of ICT staff inside and outside the organization.
  8. Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
  9. ix. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Dependable and flexible when necessary.
  11. Experience with local area network and wide area network administration.
  12. xii. Hold certification in CCNA, CCNP or CISA will be an added advantage       
  13. Age limit: 50 years 

Terms of Employment: 3 years Contract (Renewable based on Performance and availability of funds)
