What is Expected of You
As our IS Business Analyst, you’ll be a versatile contributor at the intersection of IT Operations, Cyber Security, Data Protection and Data Analytics; keeping systems reliable, empowering teams with technology, and turning data into insights that drive our mission. You will be working to deliver both technical support and data-driven solutions across East Africa.
How You’ll Deliver Impact
- Monitor and maintain IT systems, networks, and infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues across East Africa.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and enforce cybersecurity policies, SOPs, and data protection standards relevant to our operations.
- Produce procedural documentation, user guides, and IT support reports to improve team self-sufficiency and system reliability.
- Collect, clean, and validate operational data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency for reporting purposes.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel, translating operational data into actionable insights for management and cross-functional teams.
- Support data collection processes including the design and maintenance of digital forms and survey tools.
- Contribute to SQL-based reporting and data pipeline maintenance.
- Monitor operational KPIs and metrics, identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement across our operational area.
- Champion Cybersecurity, Data Protection and a process-driven culture (Kaizen).
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive work experience in an IT support, Cybersecurity and/or data analytics role; experience in a hybrid IT/data capacity is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Solid working knowledge of MS 365 administration, LAN/WAN, & cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and build reports or dashboards using Power BI, Excel, or comparable tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL for querying databases and supporting reporting workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in English and Kiswahili.
- Lean thinking mindset – Process Mapping, Waste management, Process improvement.
- AI use skills are an added advantage.
