INTRODUCTION

HelpAge Tanzania (HAT) is a national non-governmental organisation registered in Tanzania Mainland under the Non-Governmental Organisations Act of 2022 and compliant in Zanzibar under the Business Entities Registration Act No. 12 of 2012.

HAT works to ensure that older people, people with disabilities, and other people with specific needs (PSNs) are protected, included, and able to live with dignity. In Kigoma Region, HAT implements inclusive humanitarian programmes in Nduta and Nyarugusu refugee camps and host communities, focusing on protection, health, care, psychosocial wellbeing, and inclusion of the most vulnerable.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Integrated Care Nurse (ICN) is responsible for delivering person-centred, holistic, and integrated care services to older people, persons with disabilities, people with serious or chronic medical conditions, unaccompanied and separated children, and other marginalized People with Specific Needs (PSNs) in Nduta and Nyarugusu refugee camps. The role focuses on improving quality of life, functional ability, comfort, dignity, and psychosocial wellbeing through preventive, curative, rehabilitative, supportive, and end-of-life care, as appropriate, within a humanitarian context. The ICN works closely with health facilities, protection teams, community structures, and humanitarian partners to ensure coordinated and continuous care.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

The position is based in Kigoma Region, with primary responsibility for service delivery in Nduta and Nyarugusu refugee camps. The post holder will:
