Overview
Jhpiego Internship program aims at providing experiences to young professionals and mentoring them into professional roles. This internship will provide an experience to a young professional to gain good on-the-job experience. The tasks involved are not critical and do not require a full-time staff to complete. The Administrative Intern will have hands-on experience and the ability to learn and gain work experience, which will support the candidate in their job search and increase their experience in Office Administration tasks.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on obsolete items to be disposed of after the inventory count
- Work on memos for disposal lists of assets after the final report for verification
- Generate GRNs for received supplies/inventory
- Work on the distribution of bulk items procured for programs
- Receive, issue, and track Jhpiego assets to ensure they are all updated in the system
- Liaise with the Program team to send out procured supplies
- Raise requisitions for office supplies (i.e., stationery, kitchen materials) as required
- Regularly update the stores ledger and raise GSRs for timely replenishment of supplies
- Record new assets in the system immediately after receipt
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate with a Diploma or higher qualification, preferably in Business Administration or Stores Management
- Willingness to intern, learn, and gain workplace experience
- Availability to start immediately and willingness to commit for at least three months
- High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Passion and desire to work with people at different levels and cultures
- Resident of Dar es Salaam
Preferred Qualifications
- Good written and oral communication and presentation skills in Kiswahili and English
- Computer literate in standard software including MS Office 365 (especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook)
