About the Programme
This partnership aims to deliver scalable economic development approaches to foster the agency and voice of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) living in poverty. BRAC International uses an integrated model to support AGYW's transition to adulthood, equipping them with skills, tools, and access to finance.
Position: IT Officer, Technology (Infrastructure)
Job Location: Tabora (Females are highly encouraged to apply)
Purpose of this job:
The IT Infrastructure Officer manages, maintains, and optimizes the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of network systems, servers, storage devices, and cloud infrastructure components.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate employee onboarding with required IT assets and software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure requirements.
- Provide technical support to end-users and IT staff.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement and monitor a comprehensive patch management process.
- Maintain hardware and software inventory.
- Ensure network connectivity, availability, and performance.
- Implement and maintain network security measures.
- Utilize monitoring tools to proactively monitor infrastructure components.
- Collaborate on implementing security controls, policies, and procedures.
- Respond to and resolve IT infrastructure incidents and service requests.
- Plan and execute infrastructure changes.
- Generate reports on infrastructure performance.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and IT security practices.
- Organize and conduct training sessions.
Safeguarding Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure team member safety from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.
- Promote and endorse safeguarding policies.
- Follow safeguarding reporting procedures.
Required Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in Network and Infrastructure.
- Mobile device and application management experience.
- Experience with Network Devices
- Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP certification (a plus)
Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, or relevant subject.
- In-depth understanding of digital product/emerging technology business drivers.
- Multitasking and work commitment.
- Excellent attention to detail and experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Drive, flexibility, resilience, and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively remotely and in person with multiple teams.
- Fluency in English (spoken, reading, and written).
- Familiarity with development program operations (preferred).
