IT Support Specialist

About the Role

Onfon Microfinance is seeking an IT Support Specialist with experience in API support, Linux OS, and entry-level development skills. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description and Requirements

Educational Background

Applicants should have:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have the following technical skills:

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Node.js, PHP, and JavaScript.
• API Support: Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Database Management: Knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Operating System: Knowledge and experience in working with Linux operating systems.

Experience

Applicants should have:

• Work Experience: Above one year of professional experience in software development or software support.
• Project Management: Ability to support multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.
• Collaboration: Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to collaborative projects.

Soft Skills

Applicants should demonstrate the following soft skills:

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of support.

Tools and Technologies

Applicants should be familiar with or have experience in the following:

• IDEs: Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, and Android Studio.
• APIs: Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
