In an effort to stream line operations, Serene Microfinance LTD seeks to recruit qualified Loan Officer to be part of the credit team to ensure business development.

Loan Officer Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain an active knowledge base of all of the Microfinance’s loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant
• Build and maintain a substantial and high-quality loan portfolio
• Conduct members/customers recruitment and screening
• Orient clients to the particular loan products and services
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit and property evaluation and determine feasibility of granting loans and ensuring loan repayments after disbursement
• Make regular contact with the customers and clients in the field
• Prepare and present loan reports timely (Daily, Weekly and Monthly)
• Ensure loan collection is done based on procedures and loan agreement
• Keep tracking of outstanding loans and ensure loan recovery is done based on policies and procedures
• Update account status and database regularly
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
• Handle customers’ questions or complaints
• Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans as directed by your supervisor
• Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions

Educational Qualifications & Experiences

• Holder of University Degree or equivalent qualification in business administration, Finance or any other related field
• At least two years of experience in a similar position
