Key responsibilities:

Managing the Treasury Middle Office (TMO) functions which includes management of market risk and liquidity risk activities undertaken by the Treasury Department such as monitoring, reviewing and reporting activities on foreign exchange risk, Interest rate Risk, price Risk and liquidity risk.
periodical performance analysis of Treasury operations to ensure that the operations are not only profitable but also in compliance with the internal policies and procedures, IFEM’s Code of conduct, Circulars/Guidelines issued by the Bank of Tanzania from time to time including but not limited to Risk management Guidelines 2010, IBCM rules, CDS rules, Liquidity Risk Regulations, the foreign exchange Exposure limits Regulations 2014, and Bank of Tanzania’s stress testing Guidelines 2021 and observations of internal and external auditors.

Knowledge, experience and personal competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree / Advanced diploma in Business administration or related discipline.
• Other professional qualifications in related fields is desirable and will add more advantage.
• Five years of progressive experience in a similar position.
• A thorough understanding of the local financial services industry.
• Knowledge of foreign exchange markets and money markets.
• A structured approach in dealing with complex and variable work environments in an independent manner.
• Ability to balance opposing business requirements.
• Ability to balance opposing business requirements.
• Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills
• Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making
• Independent and logical thinker, yet an achiever and implementer
• Good at managing large volumes of information and can add value through management reporting
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of Treasury products and other Banking products
