Role Overview
The Open Market Manager is responsible for driving smartphone sales across Tanzania's informal retail and distribution channels. The role involves managing distributors, retailers, and kiosks, expanding market share through channel partnerships, and leading sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, onboard, and develop new channel partners to expand market coverage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and distributors to ensure product visibility and availability.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a field sales team to achieve volume and revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics to adjust strategies proactively.
- Collaborate with internal marketing and supply chain teams to align promotional activities and stock flow.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 7 years in mobile handset sales.
- Strong experience in distribution and channel development.
- Good at managing teams and building partnerships.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
