Job Description:

Kilombero Sugar Company Limited, the largest producer of sugar in the country cohesively with extra neutral Alcohol Distillery (IDTL) is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Mechanical Superintendent at the Distillery. This position is primary involves the management and control of the Distillery Mechanical Maintenance Sections within a specified budget and providing prompt and efficient services to fellow customers, meanwhile driving cost down and improving performance.

Duties and Accountabilities:

• Ensure good and safe maintenance practice at all times.
• Ensure all aspects of legislation and safety systems are applied to the full extent and ensure that persons reporting to you comply and work requirements.
• Ensure maintenance spare is controlled and ordered timeously.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Co-ordination and communication skills. Get things done in conformity to the required quality and safety standards systems
• Pay significant attention to details, committed, hardworking and flexible to changes and be a team player.
• Open a door approach, co-operation with staff, and strong drive towards superior performance.
• Control maintenance artisan and helpers reportage to you.
• Improving and enforcing good workmanship through coaching and training.

Manning Specifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering including Mathematics and Science
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, working in the field of Mechanical Maintenance at Distillery or Chemical Plant.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  
  

Terms of Services:

The successful candidate will be engaged on permanent contracts.
