DCB Commercial Bank PLC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Officer, Infrastructure and Network Administration.

DCB Commercial Bank PLC is a fully-fledged retail and commercial bank in Tanzania. The bank offers banking services to individuals, microfinance, Small to Medium Sized Businesses (MSME), as well as large corporate clients. DCBBank has a wide branch network of over 8 branches, over 1000 DCBWakala Agents, and over 280 Umoja accounts with ATMs serving over 3 million customers across the country.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Officer, Infrastructure and Network Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the bank’s MPLS Network and Data Centre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Bank’s network and infrastructure environment, including MPLS, VPNs, routing, switching, virtualization, and system integrations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, storage, network, and virtualization issues to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
• Implement and coordinate infrastructure changes, system upgrades, and security patch deployment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Perform regular infrastructure and information security health checks to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the Bank’s technology environment.
• Manage data backup processes and support disaster recovery activities to ensure business continuity and resilience.
• Monitor business applications and infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and achievement of agreed service levels.
• Participate in incident management processes, including escalation, root cause analysis, reporting, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure, security, and operational documentation aligned with enterprise architecture and governance requirements.
• Support the implementation and integration of new products and systems, ensuring appropriate risk assessments and mitigation measures are undertaken.
• Participate in Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, testing, and maintenance of continuity documentation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years in network administration, infrastructure management, information security, or telecommunications, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
• Good understanding of Internet Security and Traffic Governance.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies (VMware), storage technologies, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience working with networking and infrastructure solutions from vendors such as Huawei, Cisco, Dell EMC, Sophos, and Microsoft.
• Strong technical knowledge of Routing and Switching technologies, including Dynamic Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGP), VPN technologies (IPSec Site-to-Site VPN and DMVPN), Firewalls, VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and High Availability concepts.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNP, JNCIP, ITIL, or NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (SAN Specialist) will be an added advantage.
