Procurement Assistant
Industry: Oil and Gas
HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Procurement Officer to support procurement operations and ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in line with company policies. Candidates with experience in the oil and gas industry will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services as per company requirements.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in supplier evaluation, selection, and negotiation processes.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, files, and documentation.
- Support inventory monitoring and stock control activities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Assist in resolving supplier-related issues and discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a procurement or administrative role is an added advantage.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
