GS Oil Supller Company Ltd is seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to provide tactical support in the procurement of essential materials, consumables, minor subcontracted works, and logistics services crucial for executing Oil containers and supply operations. This role is pivotal to the smooth functioning of our Oil & Gas project.

Key Responsibilities
- Procurement of materials, consumables, minor subcontracted works, and logistics services.
- Ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of required resources.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet project demands.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Professional Certification or Additional Diplomas (e.g., CIPS (UK), CPSP (Tanzania)) are an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian regulations and international best practices in procurement.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role within a recognized and reputable firm, preferably in the oil & gas or energy sectors.
- Ability to travel and work effectively in remote project areas.
- Proficiency in using Procurement ERP Systems.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- Experience working on large, complex oil operations in HSE roles is an added advantage.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is highly advantageous.
About the Role
The Procurement Officer (Purchaser) will be instrumental in managing the acquisition process for a wide range of goods and services. This includes but is not limited to materials for oil containers and supply chains, ensuring compliance with project specifications and company policies. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of the oil and gas industry's unique procurement challenges.
