Procurement Officer
INDUSTRY: AUTOMOTIVE
HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a proactive and results-oriented Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of automotive components, equipment, general administrative supplies, and services. The successful candidate will ensure cost-effective purchasing, supplier performance, inventory availability, and efficient procurement processes to support the company’s production, warehouse, and operational requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for automotive parts, equipment, general administrative supplies, and services.
- Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, pricing, supplier capabilities, and product availability.
- Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service level agreements with suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve supplier-related issues.
- Collaborate with workshop, warehouse, and administration teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Track procurement performance and prepare periodic procurement reports.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems will be an added advantage.
