Project Manager
INDUSTRY: CONSTRUCTION
HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Manager to provide overall leadership, planning, execution, control, reporting, and successful delivery of assigned construction projects. The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving project objectives relating to safety, quality, schedule, cost, profitability, client satisfaction, contractual compliance, and cashflow performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead project start-up activities and establish effective project execution strategies.
- Prepare project budgets and obtain approvals in accordance with company procedures.
- Develop resource plans, procurement plans, mobilization plans, and project risk registers.
- Review contract requirements and ensure project teams understand and comply with all project obligations.
- Establish effective project reporting, monitoring, and control systems.
- Manage all project activities and resources to achieve approved project objectives.
- Coordinate project staff, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project productivity, progress, resource utilization, and construction activities.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, work programs, and contractual requirements.
- Identify and resolve project execution challenges promptly to minimize delays and additional costs.
- Manage project costs within approved budgets and monitor labour, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs.
- Identify cost overruns and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Work closely with the Senior Project Cost Control Quantity Surveyor to protect project profitability and support accurate cost and margin forecasting.
- Prepare and submit monthly Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure all completed and billable works are accurately captured in project valuations.
- Follow up consultant reviews, comments, and certification processes.
- Support collection efforts by ensuring all technical, contractual, and certification requirements are fulfilled.
- Maintain accurate project revenue forecasts and certification schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional registration with a relevant professional body is required.
- Minimum of 8–12 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or construction project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in major civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, water projects, or similar construction projects.
- Proven experience in project and construction management with significant leadership responsibility.
