Working context:
WeWorld is operational in Tanzania 2010. It works in partnership with local organisations and in close cooperation with government authorities. The main geographical areas of intervention are in Dar es Salaam and the regions of Njombe, Mtwara, Tanga and Pemba. The Kilimo Endelevu - Sustaining livelihood and food security through enhanced agroecosystem restoration in Micheweni District, Pemba project, financed by WFP and implemented by WeWorld in partnership with the local NGO PIRO, has the objective of Contribute to sustained livelihood systems and food security through climate smart agriculture that promote biodiversity on agroecosystem in Micheweni Districts.
Job description:
WeWorld is recruiting a Project Officer for the WFP funded Action mentioned above, that started in February 2024 and will last 12 months. The Project Officer will work in support of the Project Manager to ensure the quality of project management. Frequent missions to the 10 target villages are required to assure all the below-mentioned responsibilities and for a smooth implementation and monitoring of the project.

What We Offer
Type of contract: a 3 (three) month + 9 (nine) collaboration contract renewable subject to verification of the achievement of specific objectives (these objectives will be agreed together with the Country Representative upon arrival on assignment)
Economic conditions to be defined according to WeWorld Expatriates Compensation Policy: Base Salary (seniority/role held) + Contributions (role complex and hardship based on place of work; schooling, flights for children and insurance coverage for children)
Other conditions: Tax Treatment: equal tax treatment between Italian and foreign residents is guaranteed
Annual leave: 2,5 days/month (working days)
