The company executes Contractor Projects in areas of Electrical, Mechanical as well as Civil, with its operations in diversified sectors including Mining, Chemical & Textile industries, Power Plants, Agricultural, Manufacturing as well as Construction Industry etc.
SMIL seeks to employ qualified, competent, result-oriented and motivated professionals to join its team. Applications are invited for the following positions:
To manage and control project costs, prepare estimates and bills of quantities, monitor project expenditure, and provide professional quantity surveying services throughout the project life cycle.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs), cost estimates and tender documents.
Quantity calculation & cost estimation; accurately calculate quantities for steel structures and all sub-items of a building based on construction drawings; provide precise data support for project tendering, budgeting, and cost control.
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
Prepare valuations, payment certificates and variation assessments.
Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
Review contractors' claims and assess variations.
Assist in tender evaluation and contract administration.
Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
Prepare cost reports and provide advice on project expenditure.
Maintain proper records of project costs and documentation.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to the position as may be assigned from time to time.
Holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
At least 3 years' experience in the Engineering/Construction Projects.
Relevant professional registration/Membership is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of Construction Contracts, cost estimation and Project cost control.
Good communication, analytical and reporting skills.
Computer literacy, particularly MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying software.
