Risk & Compliance Manager

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced and strategic Risk & Compliance Manager to develop, implement, and maintain the company’s risk management and compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Company’s Risk Management Framework.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report strategic, operational, financial, insurance, and regulatory risks.
- Establish and maintain risk registers and ensure periodic review of key organisational risks.
- Recommend and monitor appropriate risk mitigation strategies to minimise organisational risk exposure.
- Ensure compliance with applicable insurance laws, regulations, and industry requirements.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting and submissions and ensure timely compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Advise management on compliance requirements, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
- Develop and oversee effective internal control frameworks across the organisation.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Support the implementation of corporate governance best practices and ensure compliance with Board-approved policies and risk management standards.
- Conduct compliance reviews and monitoring activities across all departments.
- Investigate compliance breaches and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Track and follow up on the implementation of audit, compliance, and risk recommendations.
- Prepare accurate and timely risk and compliance reports for Executive Management, the Board Risk Committee, and regulators.
- Present risk findings, trends, key exposures, and recommendations to senior management and relevant governance committees.
- Maintain accurate records of risk assessments, incidents, compliance activities, and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance & Risk Management or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Certified Risk Management Professional, ACII, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification will be desirable.
- Minimum of 3–7 years of relevant experience in risk management, compliance, audit, governance, or insurance operations.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience within a general insurance company or financial services institution is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles.
