Security Investigator Supervisor

Position: Security Investigator Supervisor (1 position)

Reports to: Security Manager

Duty Station: Nyanzaga Site, Sengerema District, Mwanza

Position Purpose

The purpose of the Security Supervisor Investigator role is to identify, prevent and address fraudulent acts, Security breaches and other threats that may jeopardise the organisation’s safety and compliance. This role is essential for protecting company assets, staff, and data by conducting systematic inquiries, analysing evidence, and assessing risks.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including theft, fraud, and workplace violence.
• Collect and analyse evidence, documents, and witness statements to support investigations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and external agencies when necessary.
• Monitor and review security footage and other surveillance data for incidents.
• Conduct background checks and risk assessments for employees and contractors as needed.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to enhance organizational safety.
• Participate in training and awareness programs to educate staff on security practices.
• Stay current on industry regulations and best practices related to security investigations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Law, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in security investigation or law enforcement is a plus.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient in using investigation tools, surveillance systems, and report-writing software.
• High level of integrity and ethical standards.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding security and privacy.
