Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst

Job Purpose

The main purpose of the SOC Analyst is to deal with security incidents detected and lead in-depth analysis on these incidents till closure.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze the security measures of the Bank and determine their effectiveness.
• Ensure all networks have adequate security to prevent unauthorized access.
• Recognize successful or potential intrusions through review and analysis of relevant event detail information.
• Launch and track investigations to resolution.
• Recognize attacks based on their signatures and differentiate false positives from true intrusion attempts.
• alert concerned stakeholders of intrusions and potential intrusions in their IT environment.
• Actively investigate the latest security vulnerabilities, advisories, incidents, and penetration techniques; notify concerned parties when appropriate.
• Conduct periodic Vulnerability Assessment and Reporting.
• Perform Configuration Review of SOC devices.
• Respond to inbound requests via phone and other electronic means for technical assistance with managed services.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree / Postgraduate / Diploma in IT, Science, or Engineering with strong IT exposure.
Professional certifications: ECSA, CEH, CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, OSCP (at least one certification is mandatory).
At least 2 years of experience in SOC or Cybersecurity.

• Proficient in Incident Management and Response.
• In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management, etc.
