Diamond Trust Bank is actively seeking to enhance its bancassurance team by recruiting two highly motivated Senior Bancassurance Officer positions in Tanzania.

1. Senior Bancassurance Officer (Insurance Premium Financing)

Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of this role is to expertly structure, originate, execute, and manage insurance premium financing (IPF) solutions tailored for corporate, individual, and SME clients. You will collaborate closely with Corporate Relationship Managers, Credit, Risk departments, and Insurance Partners to drive fee income growth, deepen client relationships, and significantly increase insurance penetration through innovative financing solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

• Identify eligible corporate and SME clients for insurance premium financing in conjunction with Relationship Managers.
• Structure competitive IPF proposals that align with client cash-flow cycles and adhere to bank credit policies.

Credit and Risk Management

• Collaborate effectively with the Credit Department to conduct thorough risk assessments of financed premiums.
• Ensure that financing arrangements meet necessary collateral, guarantee, or security requirements where applicable.

Operations and Partnerships

• Coordinate diligently with insurers and brokers to confirm policy issuance prior to releasing financing.

Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting

• Maintain an up-to-date IPF portfolio tracker, meticulously recording exposure, sector concentration, and repayment status.

Requirements

Diamond Trust Bank is recruiting for two Senior Bancassurance Officer positions to strengthen its bancassurance team in Tanzania. Candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance and Risk Management, Banking, Risk, Finance, or a closely related field.
• A professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII) is considered a significant advantage.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in bancassurance or corporate insurance sales.
