The Company
The East African Development Bank (EADB) was established in 1967 with the remit to provide financial related support to its member states which currently are Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda. The EADB has a country office in each of the member states.
The Senior Treasury Officer is responsible for the implementation of approved resource mobilization initiatives of the Bank, proactively monitoring and managing the Bank’s liquidity portfolio to enable EADB to achieve its financial objectives. The role holder is expected to undertake pre-trade preparation, trading, fund mobilization, risk management, relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- The successful candidate must have at least ten (10) years’ experience in the financial sector at a senior level in a major bank trading in a variety of currencies of which should include USD, EUR, GBP, ZAR, IND RUPEE, and currencies of the EADB Member States. He/she must possess demonstrable capacity for leadership.
- S/he should have a first degree from a recognized university in finance, accounting, business administration or other quantitative disciplines relevant to the position, a Masters’ degree in Business Administration or Finance or other quantitative discipline relevant to the position and have professional qualification, e.g. ACCA, CPA, or CFA, and an ACI dealer’s certificate.
