Service Manager

INDUSTRY: AUTOMOTIVE

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Service Manager to lead and manage the dealership's service activity, ensuring profitability and effectiveness through satisfied and retained customers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team by personally demonstrating and encouraging the service team to demonstrate customer-centric behaviours in daily activities and all customer interactions.
• Ensure the Service team collaborates closely with Sales, Parts, and Administration colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Develop the team's technical skills and workmanship to continuously improve customer service quality and satisfaction.
• Manage the daily operations of the service department.
• Achieve targets by reviewing weekly/monthly accounts, operating controls, and composite figures.
• Formulate and implement action plans to increase service sales.
• Maximize sales of parts and labor to franchise and non-franchise customers.
• Facilitate jobs within the agreed maintenance program, ensuring no delays due to equipment failure.
• Create and implement service marketing plans, and initiate and implement advertising and promotional activities.
• Maintain workshop productivity records to monitor effective labor utilization.
• Maintain profitability through periodic review and assessment of pricing policy, labor rates, and fleet discounts.
• Assist the Dealer Principal in formulating service strategy and policy.
• Represent the Dealership and build strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and statutory representatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Service Manager in the Agricultural, Construction, or Forest Industry.
• Proven experience in achieving service sales volume and profitability targets.
