Role Purpose

Save the Children seeks an Snr Technical Lead DREAMS for the USAID Kizazi Hodari-Southern Zone program. USAID Kizazi Hodari is a five-year, USAID-funded activity aimed at supporting the Government of Tanzania’s (GOT) Ministry of Health to attain and sustaining HIV epidemic control by improving the health, well-being, and protection of OVC and youth in high HIV burden communities within the Southern Zones of Tanzania specifically Iringa, Njombe and Ruvuma regions.

The program intends to mitigate the impact of HIV/ AIDS and prevent HIV transmission among pregnant and breastfeeding (PBF) women, infants, children, and youth. The program also intends to increase access to and use of health/HIV, nutrition, child protection and social, and protection services among OVC and youth in order to contribute to 95-95-95 goals: 95% of persons living with HIV (PLHIV) know their HIV status; 95% of PLHIV who know their status are on treatment; and 95% of PLHIV on treatment are virally suppressed, by 2030

The strategic objectives support the Government of Tanzania strategies and priorities for HIV mitigation and prevention, with an emphasis on minimizing negative impacts of HIV and violence on OVC and AGYW; addressing social, behavioural and structural drivers of HIV and Violence, and improving access to comprehensive SRH and violence response services to prevent new infections. Apart from the project support OVC services in Southern zone, it is also support implementation of DREAMS activities in Iringa. The project will also do directly implementation to DREAMS service delivery programming according to PEPFAR evidence based interventions.
