Statutory Accountant

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is seeking to recruit a Statutory Accountant who will be responsible for supervising the end-to-end accounting process relating to tax and statutory compliance, ensuring all General Ledger transactions are accurately and timely recorded in the ERP system and reconciled within agreed timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and facilitate monthly tax and statutory returns.
- Conduct weekly ERP versus EFD reconciliations across regions.
- Ensure compliance with all tax, pension, insurance, and statutory obligations.
- Manage tax audits and statutory reviews.
- Prepare quarterly and annual statutory statements and returns.
- Act as the lead contact person on tax and statutory matters with external stakeholders including TRA and other statutory bodies.
- Maintain custodianship of fiscal devices and ensure EFD data integrity.
- Conduct tax health checks and compliance reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reconciliations.
- Ensure tax implications of all company transactions are correctly accounted for.
- Support intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
- CPA(T) qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably in taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of branch/DC accounting and reporting.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Palladium, SAP, or Navision.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Leadership ability and strong team-player mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
