Job Objective(s):

To provide full administrative and secretarial support to and manage the office of the MD/CEO, ensuring smooth operation and delivery of quality service to the bank’s benefit.

Job Description:

• Pro-actively coordinate and control the MD’s daily appointments and diary, including booking appointments, receiving visitors, and directing them appropriately.
• Screen MD’s/CEO’s telephone calls.
• Receive external correspondence addressed to the MD/CEO, summarize or translate delicate ones written in Swahili, and respond to routine correspondence as directed.
• Handle document translation from English to Swahili or Swahili to English, dealing with sensitive and confidential material.
• Attend executive meetings and provide minutes.
• Maintain an effective and efficient filing system.
• Deal with arising issues in the absence of the MD/CEO as advised.
• Support the Bank’s communication activities, including arranging conferences and press releases by the MD/CEO, product launches, etc., as directed.
• Any other duties commensurate with the position as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education:

A degree is the minimum requirement. An MBA/Master’s Degree or a relevant professional qualification is preferred.

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience is required, which can be replaced by additional educational background.

• In-depth knowledge of the business.
• General knowledge of the banking environment and internal structure.
• Fully computer literate with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
