The company is currently expanding its business by investing heavily in generation, transmission and distribution network. Job Position: Technician – Control And Instrumental – 2 Posts

Report To: Electrical Engineer

Working Station: Kinyerezi I Gas Plant

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for execution of all Instrumentation and control maintenance works/activities in the Plant with objective of ensuring smooth operation of power generating equipment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Respond promptly to emergence calls during emergence breakdowns to ensure restoration of fault equipment within minimum time possible.
2. Attend the plant Maintenance works as schedule, keep maintenance records, equipment status updating and submit work reports after repairs or preventive maintenance.
3. Ensure all the instruments are in a good order and properly functioning.
4. Reading and interpreting all drawings and manuals necessary for smooth execution of the plants.
5. Execute properly preventive maintenance of instruments and control equipment in a planned time to ensure emergence breakdowns are avoided.
6. Responsible for going through the defect book in control room and attend defects recorded in the defect book.
7. Identify all faults/defects of the instrumentation system and carry out necessary repairs.
8. Also responsible for carrying out installation and testing of new control and measurement instruments.
9. Calibrating instruments and associated equipment.
10. Observe safety regulations when carrying out maintenance duties to ensure no accidents to people and equipment.
11. Maintain and keep in safe custody all equipment and working tools under your jurisdiction. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Ordinary Diploma in Instrumentation and Control or Electrical and Electronic Engineering/FTC from a recognized Institution
• Certificate of Secondary Education Form IV or VI
• Computer literacy is a must
