The Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI) invites applications from qualified and motivated Tanzanian graduates to fill various internship positions for the 2026/2027 financial year. This internship programme is specifically designed to provide young graduates with practical workplace experience, professional mentorship, and opportunities to enhance their skills and competencies.
To carry out specified tasks related to refrigeration and air-conditioning simulators, workshops, classes, offices, laboratory practicals, students’ projects, research, consultancy, and services under close supervision;
To assist in the repair and maintenance of refrigeration and air-conditioning simulators, workshops, and laboratory facilities;
To assist senior staff in related areas of refrigeration and air-conditioning operations;
To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Holder of a Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering, or Diploma in Mechanical / HVAC or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
All applicants must be citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years of age at the time of application.
Applicants must attach a signed application letter indicating the internship position applied for, together with their recent passport size photograph and an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing reliable contact details, including postal address, email address, and telephone number(s).
All applicants must attach certified copies of their academic certificates, academic transcripts, Form IV/Form VI certificates, and birth certificate.
Result slips, testimonials, and partial transcripts will NOT be accepted.
Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates are verified and evaluated by the relevant authorities (TCU or NECTA, as applicable).
N.B.: This is an internship placement programme aimed at skills enhancement. Therefore, no permanent employment is guaranteed upon completion of the internship period.
