Territory Manager

HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, is looking for a Territory Manager responsible for managing retail operations within an assigned geographical area. The role ensures consistent delivery of customer commitment at site level, maximizes sales and profitability, enforces HSSEQ standards, and coaches Network Dealers to achieve sustainable business performance.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate dealer contracts to achieve minimum retail business targets within the assigned territory.
- Ensure no Network Dealer is supplied with products on credit without prior approval, in strict adherence to the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
- Ensure HSSEQ standards are fully complied with in the operation of all retail stations.
- Control Network Dealers effectively to prevent product stock-outs, except in cases of force majeure.
- Negotiate dealer contracts in line with approved credit policies and procedures.
- Develop new and existing retail business in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure dealers operate strictly within the agreed Terms and Conditions.
- Maintain a clear and accurate view of territory profitability and the commercial performance of each retail site.
- Coach and support Retailers in managing site operations and overall business performance, including addressing underperforming sites.
- Sensitize customers on HSSEQ matters, particularly on safe storage and handling of petroleum products in line with company procedures.
- Arrange technical services for customers and follow up on complaints related to products and services.
- Deliver the approved retail strategy within the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular site visits with dealers to assess sites from a customer perspective and identify opportunities to enhance customer experience.
- Guide dealers on maximizing benefits and improving overall customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior within the territory.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Retailers to ensure alignment and commitment.
- Support Retailers in delivering excellent housekeeping standards and consistent, friendly customer service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA), Commerce (B.Com) in Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably within the oil and gas or FMCG sector.
- Proven experience in retail network management and dealer operations.
- Strong background in marketing, sales, and business development.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, influencing, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to analyze market dynamics and customer needs to drive performance.
