ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Liming Specialist for an upcoming volunteer assignment in Tanzania. ACDI/VOCA’s NAFAKA Project is requesting volunteer assistance to complete a value chain assessment on facilitating lime access to peri-urban and rural agro-input dealers. The assignment will last for approximately 4 weeks in country, in addition to preparation and research prior to departure. Travel and living expenses are provided.

Volunteer Qualifications

• A University degree in Soil Science, Agriculture or other relevant areas
• At least five to ten years of experience working with lime and combating soil acidity
• Previous experience in implementing a value-chain assessment
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel
• Available to begin December 2019 or January 2020
